Usher Live in Manila!

Usher performed last night at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds to promote his new album Raymond v. Raymond which features the hit single and collaboration with will.i.am OMG. Taking the audience back in time with songs such as U Remind Me, U Got It Bad, Nice and Slow, U Don't Have to Call, Yeah!, and several others, the Atlanta-native R&B singer lived up to expectations as a certified hit-maker in Manila.

South Border and Nina opened the concert with familiar tunes, including Love of My Life and Someday.

Yeah! indeed. Great night for R&B lovers in Manila!

Gretchen's Being a Bitch

Saw Angelica Panganiban at Gretchen Barretto's entertaining exchange on The Buzz last Sunday. The latter, who will be referenced from this point on as "the bitch," was asked, "One month mawawala si Derek, mami-miss mo ba?" She said:

"Masa-sad ako. Wala nang kuwento, ganun. Hihintayin ko 'yung mga kuwento niya.

"Pictures nalang! Hihintayin ko 'yung mga pictures niya. Solo picture ha! Gusto ko ikaw lang, walang iba."

Hearing this, Angelica made the following statement in an interview with The Buzz:

"Magdadala nalang ako ng pictures namin, pero walang solo. Puro double."

A recent tweet of hers was also linked to the issue, which said:

"Wala sinabi ko lang (na) taray, single," Angelica commented on the tweet. "Kasi ako double eh. May boyfriend ako eh, tsaka girlfriend ako ni Derek."

An interviewer asked the bitch if she had anything to say given the statements issued by Angelica, and given the circumstances, it was quite inappropriate for her to reference a few of her lines from her upcoming TV series, Magkaribal:

"Ako si Victoria, suot ko ang pag-ibig, hindi susuko at lalaban magpakailanman. You want war, I'll give you war, I'll be there in my red stilettos."

If Gretchen purposely referenced them to promote her show with Derek and Bea Alonzo, Angelica would have no part in it; as the latter previously mentioned in her The Buzz interview:

"Hindi pa ako kino-call for Magkaribal so ibig sabihin, hindi ako kasali sa casting. So ibig sabihin, huwag sana akong idamay sa promotion, kasi kung gusto niyang mag-promote, mag-promote siyang mag-isa."

Strong words, but something the bitch probably deserves.

They Want This Baron Geisler Dude in Jail

Fingers are pointing at Baron Geisler again, for all-too-familiar reasons. Just about a month removed from denying accusations that he harassed Julia Clarete, here's the Municipal Trial Court of Bocaue, Bulacan issuing a warrant of arrest against him, thanks to cases of acts of lasciviousness and unjust vexation filed by Yasmien Kurdi. (It can't be helped that we all have to bring back to mind the same charges filed by the daughter of William Martinez and Yayo Aguila.)

Tsk, man. This is bad, you know. If you get yourself arrested this week, you might just miss a live telecast of the NBA Finals. You can't miss a Lakers-Celtics game! This series is (wait for it) legendary! But since you're already in this position, well, just fix yourself, will ya? Just take a look at this section on the ABS-CBN News site:

On second thought, this might work. I think for several years hosting an "older" noontime show, Willie Revillame lived with a slightly similar persona: you know, chasing girls like so and being macho and all. Perhaps instead of courting Bong Revilla and Aga Mulach for the lead host position on the show Wowowee, why doesn't ABS-CBN go after Geisler, instead? He has what it takes to be controversial, obviously, and the management shouldn't worry about him being so stubborn. Hell, they've put up with Revillame for so long that they should be able to handle Geisler, right? Right-o.

Piolo Pascual is Century Bangus' New Endorser

Yesterday at the Enderun Colleges at Fort Bonifacio Taguig, Century Bangus officially presented its brand ambassador: Piolo Pascual. I actually resented the fact that the celebrated actor stole the spotlight from me, but what can I do? I'm just an unofficial member of the press with a camera, unlike that hunk packing those good looks.

Someday, I'll make my way up there and people will flock around me like I have the time for them. At least for now, I have my comfort food in Century Bangus, which comes with a whole range of products such as Century Bangus Fillet (my personal favorite in savory tausi flavor), Century Bangus Chunks, Century Bangus Sisig (healthy pulutan, anyone?), and Century Quality Premium Boneless Bangus.

As for Piolo Pascual, he gets to enjoy every last bit of all the products mentioned above at no cost, thanks to his endorsement deal. Someday, when I'm chiseled up and all, Century will offer me something similar, and I'll say yes, if only to prove I'm better than Piolo.
